Overview
Our classifications guidelines
were setup with the main purpose of ranking a person’s ability.
Over the years we have used different ranges like other
sections. So to simplify matters, we like others will be using
only one Class range, the one used by the ICS system. Below you
is the table showing the differences. The major differences are
that the percentages for each Class range changed and a new
Class has been added Grand Master

Classifications
1) Classifications will
be re-calculated at Year-end.
2)
Every new shooter
that has just completed his Black Badge course must shoot two
matches before being classified; afterwards the shooter is
placed in D as soon as he completes his second match.
Prior to this the shooter will be placed in “U” class.
3)
To be reclassified
a shooter must shoot 5 matches of which 1 must be
a Level 3 match. The calculation of class percentage will be
done in the following manner:
a.
An average of the
4 Level 2 matches will be calculated and multiplied by 40%.
Your four best scores will be used in the calculation.
b.
Your score of
Level 3 match will be calculated and multiplied by 60%. In the
event a competitor shoots more than one Level 3 match, the
average of your Level 3 matches will be used in the calculation.
c.
The results of the
(a) and (b) will be added and you will be placed in your
respective class.
4)
In order for a
shooter to be reclassified he/she must compete in a Level 3
match. Exceptions
will be made when more Level 3 matches are shot than Level 2s.
This format will be used in
2006.
